Ralph J. Dalman

Ralph J. Dalman, 61, of Nashville, Ill. departed this life at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2001 at his residence after a sudden illness.
Ralph was born on June 1, 1940 in Washington County, the son of John and Josephine (Rybacki) Dalman. 
He worked as an auto body man at Kirchoeffer Chevrolet in Nashville. He then went to work for Ollie's Body Shop in Nashville for over 30 years. For the last year and a half, he had worked at Warren Auto Body in Nashville. Ralph loved gardening and provided produce for family and friends. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Dalman and wife Katie of Killion, Tex.; two grandsons, Cameron and Justin; his mother, Josephine Dalman of Du Bois; six brothers and sisters, Casimir Dalman of Du Bois, Christine Ritter of Du Quoin, Michael Dalman and wife Susie of Tamaroa, JoAnn Holzhauer and husband Raymond of Nashville, LaVerne Restoff and husband Gene of Scheller, and Sharon Frederking and husband Jon of Nashville; and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, wife Joan, and a brother-in-law, Carl "Corky" Ritter.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville with Fr. Paul Wienhoff officiating. Interment was in the St. Charles Cemetery in Du Bois.
Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 7:30 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville. The rosary was recited at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the St. Ann Catholic Church Renovation Fund or to the American Heart Association.
